About TaxHisaab
TaxHisaab is an independent platform of 8 verified calculators and in-depth guides for Pakistani federal taxation. It is built and maintained by an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) to provide working professionals, freelancers, and businesses with mathematically sound, statutory tax calculations rather than generic estimates.
Built & Maintained by an Associate Chartered Accountant
Tax legislation in Pakistan changes annually through the Finance Act and continuous FBR statutory regulatory orders (SROs). Most online calculators copy outdated figures or simplify progressive brackets incorrectly. Every calculator formula, slab step, and editorial guide on TaxHisaab is authored, audited, and maintained by an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), grounded directly in the text of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
Where the rates come from
Every figure is taken from primary statutory sources, in this strict order of preference:
- The official gazetted text of the Finance Act published by the Government of Pakistan.
- The First Schedule to the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 published by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
- PwC’s Worldwide Tax Summaries for Pakistan and circular briefs from top-tier accounting firms.
Rates are never copied from another website or blog. Current figures reflect the Finance Act 2026, gazetted 2026-06-26, and were last verified on 2026-10-10.
Why some pages carry a warning
Where secondary sources report ambiguous implementations — such as non-filer penalty doubling under sections 236C and 236K, or unapproved gratuity exemptions — our pages state the caveat prominently rather than presenting an inference as verified fact. We believe transparency builds trust.
What it does not cover
These calculators focus exclusively on federal direct taxation. Provincial taxes (such as provincial services sales tax collected by SRB, PRA, BRA, or KPRA, stamp duty, CVT, and urban immovable property tax), EOBI pensions, and social security levies are separate.
Not substitute for professional legal advice
TaxHisaab provides free educational estimates and calculators for general guidance. While maintained by an Associate Chartered Accountant, using the site does not form a formal client-accountant relationship. For complex corporate structuring or contentious tax disputes, consult a licensed tax advisor or the FBR.
